April 5, 2020
We hope this message finds you all in good health and spirits. As everyone acknowledges, these are unprecedented times, and we are each challenged to do our part to help make the pandemic situation go away.
As mentioned in our last update, we made the decision to close the resort on March 25, 2020 for the protection and well-being of all. Our staff is now set up to work from home as needed, unless there is a situation that requires coming in for a brief period. To the best of our knowledge, everyone is doing okay with no reports of illness coming to our attention. Front desk hours for answering the phone will be limited, but please leave a message if necessary, and your call will be returned.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has issued a mandatory stay-at-home order that will be in effect until at least April 30, 2020. Future CDS Board of Directors communications will continue to be sent to ownership, and when we are advised and have determined that things are safe, we will announce when Costa del Sol might be able to re-open. At the moment, however, we simply do not know when that will be.
The major project of installing our new AC chiller is now scheduled to be completed by the end of April, unless something changes. This is good because the installation requires shutting down the AC in the entire resort for 3-4 days, and no one will be there during this shut down.
Stay well and keep spirits up!
